Izzy Gesell MA CSP is originally from Brooklyn NY (where a sense of humor is a survival skill). He has a BA in psychology, an MS in education, and a P (that's 1/3 of a PhD). He is a Certified Speaking Professional from the National Speakers Association.

Izzy has been working with humor and communication all his adult life as a teacher, stand-up comedian, author, corporate trainer, professional speaker, and workshop leader. He is also a "humor & creativity coach" — helping people bring humor and fun into their work, their presentations, and their personalities.

Izzy believes humor, imagination, and playfulness are powerful resources for humans because they help us become more effective both personally and professionally.

Nationally known as an expert in helping organizations and the people within them thrive and prosper during changing times, his clients include NASA, Hewlett-Packard, Chrysler, the Internal Revenue Service, HBO, Mass Mutual, Lucent Technologies, & office staff of the US House of Representatives.

The author of "PLAYING ALONG: Group Learning Activities Borrowed From Improvisation Theater", he also created both an audiocassette program called "BECOMING LIGHTHEARTED: Managing Stress Through Humor" and a training video called "HUMOR WORKS WITH IZZY GESELL".
