  • "Too Many Hot Peppers? Use Humor To Cool The Fire And Improve Communication."
      Anger is the most common emotion in our volatile society today. We have road rage, sports rage, airport rage and shouting matches in supermarkets. How do you talk to someone who won’t calm down enough to listen? This session will offer hands-on activities to help you improve communication with others – even in “hot” situations.

  • "Fear Factor Breakthrough: Using Humor to Face Your Fears and Phobias"

      Are you afraid of things that go bump in the night? Would never dream of getting up in front of people to give a speech? Won't go near a spider? This session will provide practical information and hands-on activities using humor to work through your fears and phobias.

2003 Conference:
  • "Humorizing ways to Resolve Classroom Conflicts and Build Self-Esteem"

      Children who have low self-esteem do not have the tools to reduce their stress or deal with difficult people. This workshop will provide hands on experiential activities and role-playing of situations. Discover your humor bone and learn ways to humorize the classroom.

Biography:

Roberta Gold, RTC, is a recreation therapist by profession and a humor therapist by choice. She presents her workshops to businesses, staff trainings, schools, hospitals, and organizations across the United States. She is finishing work on two books and helping with conflict resolution for the students and staff in many school districts in southern California.
