Debbie Wade is
the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Enrollment Services
for San Jacinto College District in Pasadena, TX, and has been with the college
for 26 years. She holds an Associate of Arts Degree from San Jacinto and serves
on a number of college committees.
Debbie is very active in professional
associations on the local, state, and national levels. She is a founding
member of the San Jacinto College Association of Educational Office Personnel
(SJC AEOP) and is a Past President of the Texas Educational Secretaries Association
(TESA), now known as the Texas Educational Support Staff Association. She
is also a member of the National Association of Educational Office Professionals
(NAEOP) and was honored as the 2004 Olive T. Ritchie Educational Office Professional
of the Year by the NAEOP. She holds her Certified Educational
Office Professional (CEOP) and Certified Educational Office Employee (CEOE)
certifications.
Debbie’s
alter egos are “Spunky” the clown and an assortment of costumed
friends who make appearances in her fun and interactive workshops which she
has conducted for more than 18 years across the nation. She believes
people learn more when they are having fun, involved, smiling, and not sitting
on the back row!
Married
to her high school sweetheart for more than half her life, she has two children,
a dog and a cat, and a boss—all of whom provide an endless source of humor
and material for her workshops.
