Laugh, It’s Funny!
One day I was at my friend Caiti’s house being very bored and trying to come up with a good idea for something exciting to do. Finally we decided to build a tire swing. We went out to the shed to look for a tire and rope. We found the tire, no rope. So we went to the dumpsters in town to find something to improvise. Bailing twine! There was so much of it there it was insane! So we took a huge bundle and headed back to her house. We thought, “Ya know, one piece of twine won’t be very sturdy.” So we braided twine for hours and then we braided the braided pieces to make it strong. We set up our tire swing in the backyard and went inside to get ready. 1 blue helmet, huge sweater and I was ready. I climbed into the circular hold and she pushed. I was flying through the air! Looking hilarious. Humor is important because it gives memories, happiness, and prevents grudges.
Humor helps to not forget a memory that has happened to someone. For example when I went to Yellowstone this summer we saw hitchhikers. Instead of feeling sorry we weren’t going to pick them up we got candy and threw it out the window to them.
Another instance is one time my friend Michelle and I were at a volleyball game. She was going to put her arm around the person next to her but instead she hit me in the face. It didn’t hurt so instead of getting mad we laughed so extremely hard we were crying! Humor brings out the best in people because they forget about what other people think or they don’t worry about their problems.
Humor brings Happiness to all of us. When you’re sad an don’t feel good and then you laugh you forget your troubles for a moment. For instance when I am down and in the blue my friends cheer me up. Caiti makes faces and does crazy sounds. No matter how mad or angry I am she can get me to let out a giggle. Michelle talks to me about what happened and helps me to forget the bad about it and lets me laugh at myself. When anything bad happens you can trust on the people around you. If someone you know happens to be in the dumps make him or her laugh its funny!
When you are angry laughter and humor helps grudges not develop. When a person does something to you and you particularly don’t like it, normally a grudge develops. If you bring humor into the matter then no grudge appears. For instance when I was younger I had a sheep named Speedy. I had to feed and water him everyday. My sister Kim was nice enough to help me. As we went into the pen she remembered that our mother had seen a rattlesnake in the barn a few days earlier. She absolutely hates snakes and she looked so crazy looking for one that I had to do something. So I dug my finger into the back of her leg and she passed out! She was angry with me for a few days after but now we laugh about it and its okay. Another example is when I was little and Kim and I were watching a scary movie about a bride that got strangled to death and it scared me! I went to the bathroom and Kim sneaked into my closet wearing a veil. When I went to bed I saw her waving at me I thought it was the ghost bride! So I ran out and thinking she got me she started to come out at the same time I was coming back. I scared her so she stuck out her hands and I thought she was trying to strangle me so we were in a wrestling match. Now we laugh about this no grudges here.
Humor gives memories, happiness, and prevents grudges. Back to Caiti, the tire swing, and I. The wind blew on my face as I swung through the air. Caiti said, “Get ready this’ll be a hard push!” she took a step, not knowing she stepped on my foot, and pushed hard!!! The twine broke and I went sailing through the night sky. Caiti and I laughed so hard we accidentally peed our pants!
